Provincial GBV activities
The Papua New Guinea National Strategy to Prevent and Respond to Gender Based Violence 2016-2025 was developed as an overarching strategy designed to provide guidance to national and sub-national government and non-government bodies. The National Strategy envisaged that Provincial Governments could also develop their own GBV strategies, which would be designed to address the specific needs of women, children and men at the local levels.
